Michael M. Botelho, 60, of Fairhaven, peacefully passed away surrounded by friends and family on Sunday, October 8, 2017 at St. Luke’s Hospital following a brief illness. He was the son of the late William and Sara V. (Pacheco) Botelho.
Mr. Botelho was born in New Bedford and had resided in Fairhaven for most of his life. He had worked as a commercial fisherman for many years. He cherished his year round visits to Fort Phoenix in Fairhaven where he enjoyed tanning and talking with his friends. Mr. Botelho was known for his love of life and he will be missed by all that knew him.
Survivors include his 6 brothers: Anthony, James, Manuel, Walter, Steven and William Botelho; his 6 sisters: Irene Borges, Maria Botelho, Katherine Chartier, Sara Botelho, Jacqueline Botelho and Linda Botelho; along with many nieces and nephews that he loved dearly.
He was the brother of the late Edward Botelho.
