GORHAM- Dale R. Kelley, 67, left one life to begin another on October 8th, 2017 at Gosnell House in Scarborough.
He battled a 4 year fight with cancer.
He was born on September 11th, 1950, to the parents Gloria Greenlaw and Ralph Kelley. He grew up in South Portland
and retired from the automotive industry as an auto detailer.
He served in the United States Army as a Medic in the San Antonia burn unit in the Vietnam War era.
He was an avid Steelers fan, had a love for pool and throwing darts, and did much of it as a lifetime member of post 25 of the Amvets.
He will be missed by many for his great sense of humor, kind heart and willingness to help anyone that needed anything.
He is survived by his lifelong companion Deanna "Dee" Foster of Gorham and her son Steven Caron of South Portland,
sisters Carol Runyun of Texas, Stella Folsom of South Portland, and Nancy Wing of New Hampshire.
Brothers Edward Buzynski of New Jersey, and Peter Buzynski of Rhode Island, as well as many nephews and nieces.
And a special thank you to his nephew Jeff Beaudoin for the help he provided in Dales later stages.
He is preceded by his sister Karen Murray.
Visitation will be held on Thursday Oct. 12 from 1 – 3 PM at the Chad E. Poitras Cremation and Funeral Service Chapel, 498 Long Plains Road (Rt. 22) in Buxton. The visitation will conclude with US Army Honors. A gathering will follow at AMVETS post 25 on Washington Ave. in Portland. Burial will be at the Maine Veterans Cemetery in Augusta at a later date.
