Carol Ebert Blackwell, 79, Formerly of Fremont, NH, passed away Sunday October 8, 2017, in the Parkland Medical Center, Derry, NH. She was born in Lawrence, MA on May 24, 1938, a daughter of Robert and Gertrude (Colby) Meier.
Carol spent 30 wonderful years with the love of her life, Clinton Ebert. Carol and Clint lived in Fremont since 1970 where they raised their four daughters, Jill Connor, Janice Kirata, Suzanne Theori and Sara Ramsdell. Carol’s life was later blessed by ten grandchildren, Briana, Ryan and Pat Connor, Nikki, Luke, and Rob Theori, Amir and Shireen Kirata, and Jacob and Cooper Pennfield, and also by nine great grandchildren, her sister, Virginia Krauklin and her brother Robert Meier. Her several nieces and nephews were also beloved people in Carol’s life. She loved her family more than anything, they were the center of her world. She deeply loved her second husband, Lester Blackwell and most recently her dear partner, Carlton Holmes.
Carol loved nature, traveling and animals, especially her amazing dog, Sally. Having lived in the home that is now the Fremont Animal Hospital, she cared greatly for the wellbeing of all animals. Carol raised her daughters with Sockhops every Saturday night and always had a song to sign for everyone’s birthday. She lived life to the fullest and will be remembered for her witty, sassy personality and zest for life.
Following cremation, private services are being planned by the family at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Fremont Animal Hospital for animal rescue or to an animal rescue group of one’s choice. The Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry is assisting the family with arrangements.
