Elsie Lenhart Shelton, age 86, of Chase City, VA passed away Saturday, October 7, 2017. She was born January 21, 1931 in Mecklenburg County, VA to the late James Carl Lenhart and Elizabeth Johnson Lenhart.
She was the owner and operator of Village Treat in Chase City for 35 years and a member of Friendship United Methodist Church.
She was predeceased by her parents; husband, Sterling Milton Shelton; and brother, James Carl Lenhart, Jr.
Elsie is survived by her sister, Joan Wilson and husband, Harold; two nieces, Wanda Dixon and husband, Tommie and Tammy Johnson and husband, Mark; one nephew, Jim Wilson and wife, Michelle; and two great-nephews, Josh Wilson and J.T. Johnson and wife, Corinna.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at 2 p.m. at Friendship United Methodist Church. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
