Richard J. Murray, of North Reading, formerly of Medford, died Tuesday at the Brigham And Women's Hospital, after a brief illness. He was 62.
Mr. Murray was born and raised in Medford, the son of the late Frederick and the late Caroline (Romano) Murray. He graduated Northeastern University with an associates degree. A former emplyee of GTE Sylvania in Needham, Richard presently worked as the Associate Service Manager of Clay Chevrolet of Newton. He was an automobile enthusiast who collected and restored antique automobiles.
He was the husband of Rita (Russell). He was the son-in-law of Charles Russell and the late Rita (Good). He was the brother-in-law of Noreen Russell and leaves many wonderful and special friends. He was the brother of Ronald Murray and also leaves Jamie Gene and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may visit Thursday from 4 thru 8 at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford. A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Joseph Church, 118 High Street, Medford, Friday at 9 AM. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
