TEWKSBURY - Mrs. Roberta M. (Eadie) Gamlin, age 68, died peacefully Friday evening, October 6, in the loving care of her family and hospice at her Tewksbury home, after a courageous fifteen month battle with cancer. She was the beloved wife of Gerald A. “Gerry” Gamlin, with whom she had celebrated a forty-third wedding anniversary this past June 8.
She was born in Boston, in April 1949, a daughter of the late John and Charlotte Eadie, and raised in Dracut. She graduated from the Clarke School For The Deaf in Northampton and matriculated to R.I.T./N.T.I.D. where she earned an Associates Degree. She retired from C.V.S. in Wilmington Plaza, where she had worked as the Hallmark Card specialist.
Both she and her husband shared a lifetime of joy and fulfillment together overcoming the challenges of lifelong deafness.
Roberta cherished memories of camping with her family throughout New England and New York.
Besides her husband, she leaves two sons and daughters-in-law, Jonathan G. and his wife Erin (Westaway) Gamlin of Tewksbury and Benjamin C. and his wife Jennifer (Clark) Gamlin of Berwick, ME; three grandchildren, Madelin, Avrey, and Rose Gamlin; and many nieces and nephews.
Memorial Visiting Hours Saturday, October 14, from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. in the Tewksbury Funeral Home, corner of 1 Dewey and 975 Main Sts. (Rte. 38) TEWKSBURY CENTER, Ph.
