Manchester– Alphonse “Al” A. Auclair, 88, died October 6, 2017 at Villa Crest Retirement Community following a brief illness.
He was born in Auburn, ME. on August 4, 1929 the son of Napoleon and Catherine (Dufour) Auclair.
He attended schools in Auburn, ME. then proudly served his country in the U. S. Air Force for eight years.
Following his military career he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Bentley College.
He managed the Postal Worker’s Credit Union of NH for over 25 years.
He was a longtime parishioner of Our Lady of the Cedars Church. He held membership in the Postal Cribbage League and he enjoyed horse racing.
He leaves his wife, of 61 years, Alice (Telge) Auclair and one sister, Ruth Jones of Auburn ME.
A funeral service will take place on Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at 10 AM in Our Lady of the Cedars Church, corner of Calef Rd. and Mitchell St.
Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, 765 Brown Ave.
Memorial donations may be made to Our Lady of the Cedars Church, 140 Mitchell St., Manchester NH 03103.
