Obituary

Edward M. Supczak, 87, of New Bedford died October 7, 2017 at Sacred Heart Home after a brief illness.
He was the husband of the late Vivian E. (Drew) Supczak.
Born in New Bedford, the son of the late Stanley F. and Stella (Papiernik) Supczak, he lived in New Bedford all of his life.
Mr. Supczak was a communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Church.
He was the proprietor of Eddie's Food and Package Store.
Mr. Supczak enjoyed spending time with his family and watching the New England Patriots and the Boston RedSox.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
Survivors include his son, Michael Supczak and his wife Christine of New Bedford; 2 daughters, Susan Halle and Joanne Beatriz and her husband Daniel, all of New Bedford; a sister, Felicia Supczak-Neat of Elkton, MD; 5 grandchildren, Michael Beatriz, Jeffrey Beatriz, Sarah Chainay, Elizabeth Goudreau and Valerie Supczak; 2 great-grandchildren, Vivian Chainay and Ajax Goudreau; and several nephews.
He was the brother of the late Richard Supczak and Alice Kaczmarek.
His Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, October 11th at 11 AM in the Saunders-Dwyer Home For Funerals, 495 Park St. New Bedford. His family will receive guests from 10 - 11 AM prior to his service. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Sacred Heart Home, 359 Summer St., New Bedford, MA 02740.
