Irene M. (Lambert) LaFountain, 60, of New Bedford died October 6, 2017 unexpectedly at home.
She was the wife of William L. LaFountain.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Gerard and Irene (Arsenault) Lambert, she lived in New Bedford all of her life.
Mrs. LaFountain was formerly employed as a nurses aide for many years.
She enjoyed woodworking.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Greg McKay of New Bedford; 3 brothers, Gerard Lambert and his wife Marilyn of Colorado, Paul Lambert and his wife Joy of Texas and Rene Lambert and his wife Jackie of Barrington, RI; 2 sisters, Sue Crowl and her husband George of Acushnet and Madeleine Bozzi and her husband David of New Bedford; 7 grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was the mother of the late Ryan Lambert.
Her Funeral will be held on Wednesday at 9 AM from the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford, followed by her Funeral Mass at St. Joseph-St. Therese Church at 10 AM.
