Scott T. Montgomery, 52, of Derry, NH, passed away unexpectedly on Monday October 2, 2017 at his home in Derry. He was born in Lancaster, PA on October 17, 1964, a son of William Teats and Louise (Zimmerman) Teats. He had been a resident of Derry for over 10 years, formerly living in Litchfield, NH and the Boston, MA area. Scott grew up in Pennsylvania and was a graduate of Donegal High School in Mount Joy, PA. He attended Penn State University, and graduated from Northeastern University in Boston with a degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Scott was a highly skilled Systems Engineer for 27 years at Teledyne Dalsa in Billerica, MA with a number of publications in professional journals. Being a devoted Christian and a member of the Londonderry Presbyterian Church, he was actively involved in the Music Worship. He greatest passions in life were his music, playing guitar, camping, hiking, cooking, and following sports.
Scott is survived by his only daughter, Vanessa Montgomery of Derry, his mother Louise Teats of Manchester, NH, his father William Teats of Hockessin, DE, and the mother of his daughter, Tracy Chen of Litchfield. Scott was remembered as a loving and supportive father, who devoted his life to his daughter.
A calling hour was held on Monday, October 9th from 10 – 11am in the Londonderry Presbyterian Church, Pillsbury Road, Londonderry. Funeral services were held at 11:00am, followed by burial in Forest Hill Cemetery in E. Derry. The Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium of Derry and Londonderry assisted the family with the arrangements.
