Patricia A. Edwards, age 58, of Weymouth passed away at home on October 2, 2017 after a long battle with cancer. Tricia was born in Raleigh, NC and then moved to Dorchester for a short time before her family settled in Weymouth in 1965 where she has resided ever since. She was always creative and used this talent to start the Blue Unicorn, her handmade clothing company making everything from scarfs and blankets to formal wear for the last 30 years. Tricia loved making blankets for family and friends and will be missed for her loud, opinionated personality but always remembered for the love she had for her family.
Tricia is survived by her beloved mother Sallie Edwards of Weymouth and her two sons Wanza Hampton and James Hampton, both of Weymouth. She is also survived by her siblings Cynthia Martin and her husband the late Charlie of Weymouth, Cleo J. Edwards Jr. of Weymouth, Norman Edwards and his wife Kelly of NH, Leonard Edwards of Weymouth, and Nita Edwards of Weymouth.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours for Tricia on Saturday, October 7, 2017 from 4-5:30pm at the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home located at 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) S. Weymouth, MA. A Funeral Service in honor of Tricia’s life will take place in the funeral home following the visitation at 6pm.
