Laura J. Manning, 66, of Plainville, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at her home.
Born in Medford on September 12, 1951, she was the daughter of the late William B. and Ruth F. (O’Reilly) Manning Stone.
While Laura resided in Plainville for the past year and a half, she lived in the Lowell area for many years.
The oldest of six children, she grew up in Arlington and graduated from Arlington Catholic High School. Laura attended the nursing program at Fitchburg State and earned her Master’s Degree in Nursing from Lesley College.
She worked at Saints Memorial Hospital in Lowell for many years.
Laura was an amazing artist, loved travelling and spending time at the ocean.
She is survived by three sisters, Kathy Manning of Taunton, Theresa Manning and her husband Fred Winchell of Lincoln and Melanie Agricola and her husband Peter of Norfolk, one brother Timothy Manning and his wife Maureen of Medford and a sister-in-law Kit Manning of Nashua, New Hampshire. She was predeceased by her brother Michael Manning.
She is also survived by her nieces and nephews, Sarah, Claire, Simon, Sam, Isabel and Charlie.
