WEBSTER – Evelyn C. (Anderson) Jezerski, 88, died unexpectedly Monday, October 2, 2017 after being stricken ill at home. Her husband of 55 years, Edward Jezerski, died in 2007.
She leaves 3 children, James E. Jezerski and his wife Leanne; Kathleen M. Blair, all of Dudley and Robert F. Jezerski and his wife Tracey, granddaughter, Madelyn Jezerski all of Dracut; a step-granddaughter, Julie St.Laurent; 2 step-great-grandchildren, Jessica and Stefan all of Worcester; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Arthur “Andy” Anderson in 2002, her sister Irene Morin in 2009 and her son-in-law Edward C. Blair in 2014.
She was born on December 24, 1928 in Webster, the daughter of Joseph E. and Evelyn C. (Provost) Anderson and lived here all her life. She completed the commercial course at Saint Anne’s School.
In her early years, Evelyn worked as an assembler at Cranston Print Works Company. She worked in retail as a clerk and then as department manager at Key Stores, Mammoth Mart and King’s Store. She was later a cashier at Food Warehouse for 10 years, retiring in 1990.
She was a daily communicant of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church and was active in parish functions. She was a weekly adorer at the Blessed Sacrament Chapel since its inception in 1995. She volunteered at the former Hubbard Regional Hospital gift shop. She enjoyed cooking, crocheting, and her occasional trips to the casino. Most of all, she was a loving mother who dedicated her life to her family.
The funeral will be held Thursday, October 5, from Scanlon Funeral Service, 38 East Main Street, with a Mass at 10:00 AM in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 16 East Main Street, Webster. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 PM Wednesday, October 4, in the funeral home.
