Karen Elizabeth Lobeda, 62, of Ocilla passed away Monday, October 2, 2017, at her residence. A graveside service will be held for Ms. Lobeda at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 7, 2017, at Oak Ridge Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest. Tom Edge will officiate.
Born June 20, 1955 in Tifton, Ms. Lobeda was the daughter of the late William Lobeda and Ann Harris. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie Fortenberry. She was of the Baptist faith.
Ms. Lobeda is survived by two sons, James Kenneth Scarberry and Kevin Boatner, both of Ocilla; one daughter, Jennifer Boatner of Tifton; one sister and brother-in-law, Dottie and Tom Edge of Athens; her step-father, James F. “Sarge” Harris of Tifton; seven grandchildren, Tyler Scarberry, Jacob Scarberry, Triston Scarberry, Abby Boatner, Will Boatner, Nathan Boatner and Eli Boatner; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
