Stanley Randell Stiers, 71, passed October 2nd, 2017, surrounded by his family, at St. Vincent Anderson.
He was born March 7, 1946 in Connersville, IN and was a lifetime resident of Anderson. He was a 1964 graduate of Madison Heights High School. He made his living as a brick mason and owner and operator of Stiers Gravel, Construction and Excavation.
He loved camping with his family and watching his grandchildren in their sports and drama endeavors. He was a kind, generous, hardworking man, who was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Jeanie (Hacker) Stiers; three children, Randell (Kathie) Stiers, Bryan (Susan) Stiers and Shelli (Jason) Davis; seven grandchildren, Robin (Wyatt) Stiers Rondot; Kiley Stiers, Whitney Curts, Wayde Stiers, Quinten, Cooper and Kellen Davis; and brothers, Allen and Mark (Val) Stiers; along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Stan was preceded in death by a daughter, Theresa Jo Lynn, sister, Geraldine (Stiers) Wilkins, sister-in-law, Elaine (Rouse) Stiers and parents, Chase and Frances (Withers) Stiers.
Funeral services will be at noon on Thursday at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Pastor Jerry Hilligoss officiating. Burial will follow in East Maplewood Cemetery.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home and one hour prior to the funeral on Thursday.
