Kevin A. Guiney of Canton died unexpectedly October 1, 2017. He was 59 years old. Kevin was a graduate of Canton High School and Northeastern University. He served as the Director of Fiscal and Resource Management for the Department of Mental Health, where he worked for almost 40 years. Kevin was the beloved son of Josephine “Jo” Guiney of Canton and the late Francis E. Guiney. He was the loving and cherished companion of Patricia M. Mackin of Weymouth. Devoted and loving father of Megan E. Leonido and her husband Matthew of Rockland, Maura E. Guiney of S. Boston, and Matthew F. Guiney of Plymouth. Proud grandfather of Madeline Leonido. Loving brother of Frances E. Guiney of Canton, Carol A. Piaseczny and her husband Tom of Stoughton, Steven M. Guiney and his wife Mary of Plymouth, and the late Robert, John, and Joseph Guiney. Kevin is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, nephews, cousins, and friends. Visiting hours in the Pushard Family Funeral Home, 210 Sherman St., Canton on Thursday, October 5 from 4-8 PM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 10 AM in St. Gerard Majella Church, 1860 Washington St., Canton.
