Francis T. Shurtleff, 80, of Westport, passed away on Saturday, September 30, 2017 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of Carole L. (Kennedy) Shurtleff.
Mr. Shurtleff was born in Middleboro, son of the late Harrison Shurtleff and Marion (Gifford) Thomas and had been a longtime resident of Westport. He had worked as a foreman for an electrical manufacturing company and he also worked for the Standard Times, New Bedford until his retirement. He raised gamecocks and enjoyed spending time with his family.
Survivors along with his wife include his son: Kevin S. Shurtleff and his wife Cheryl of Oswego, NY; 3 daughters: Susan M. Shurtleff of Fall River, Sherry A. Jordan and her husband Rick of Dartmouth, Lori A. Costa and her husband Joseph of Westport; 3 brothers: Ronald Shurtleff of VA, James Thomas, Jr. and Randy Thomas, both of MA; 2 sisters: Nancy Gonsalves and Maud Vieira, both of MA; 10 grandchildren: Jarrod, Chelsie, Joshua, Kevin, Jr., Kiara, Corey, Shelby, Cole, Dakota and Kennedy; 5 great grandchildren: Lexcey, Jaiden, Jaemasin, Calie & Kara; along with many nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Harrison Shurtleff, Jr. and Roger Piche’, Jr.
Funeral service to which relatives and friends are invited will be Thursday, October 5, 2017 at the Potter Funeral Home at 10:00 A.M.
Calling hours will be Wednesday from 5-8 P.M.
Interment will be in Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport.
