Giacomo Falcone, of Malden, formerly of Somerville, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on Sunday, October 1st at the Winchester Hospital. He was 83.
Born in Sicily, Italy, he was the son of the late Ignazio and Rosaria (Parlagreco) Falcone. Giacomo and his wife Augusta married on October 28, 1959 in Nettuno, Italy. They came to the United States in 1967 and made their home in Somerville. Together, they built their family with love and devotion.
Giacomo was the beloved husband of Augusta (Mastracci) Falcone, the two shared fifty-eight loving years of marriage. He was the devoted father of Mauro Falcone and his wife Kimberly of Nashua, New Hampshire, David Falcone of Malden, the late Ignazio Falcone and the late Franco Falcone and his surviving wife Nancy of Stoneham. Giacomo was the loving grandfather of Cassaundra, Ignazio, Tanya, Christopher, Devin, and Bianca Falcone and was the loving great grandfather of Alexis, Isabella Marie, Isabella Galaxy, and Journy Lynn. He was the dear brother of Pina Piceriello, Connie Giacaloni, Santi Falcone, Lena Falcone and the late Guytano Falcone. Giacomo is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main Street, Medford, on Thursday, October 5th at 9AM followed by a Funeral Mass celebrated in St. Ann Church, 399 Medford Street, Somerville at 10AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday from 4 through 8PM. Services will conclude with interment at Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Giacomo’s name may be sent to the charitable organization of One’s choice.
