Manchester– Ernest "Spike" A. Groulx, 89, died September 11, 2017 at Catholic Medical Center following a brief illness.
He was born in Hooksett, NH on May 9, 1928 the son of John and Fabiola (Sney) Groulx.
He served his country in the U. S. Army in World War II, mainly in the Occupation Forces in 1945 in Germany and Austria.
He was employed by Gott Beverages, Merrimack Transport (Budweiser Beer), Silver Brothers (Miller Beer), and was in the Teamsters Union, Local 633.
He always had a fun loving attitude and was a devoted family man. He loved to go dancing with his wife, Diners, and walks by the lake. He spoke French, German, Yiddish as well as his native tongue, English.
Family members include his loving wife of 58 years, Valeda (Legere) Groulx, two sons, Robert Groulx and his wife, Michelle, Raymond Groulx, all of Manchester, three brothers, Donat, Frank, Fred, and four sisters, Rita, Irene, Lorette and Florence and many nieces and nephews.
There are no calling hours.
A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday, October 12, 2017 at 10 AM in St. Anthony of Padua Church, Corner of Belmont and Harvard Sts. Manchester NH
Committal prayers and military honors will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 474 Goffstown Rd.
