McCarthy Sr. Devoted Brother of John J. McCarthy Jr. of Manchester N.H. and Maureen (McCarthy) Atkins and her husband Gerald P. Atkins Sr. of Needham. Cherished Uncle of David, Gerald Jr., Jonathan and Daniel Atkins all of Needham. also survived by two Aunts and many cousins. Funeral from the William J. Gormley Funeral Home 2055 Centre St. WEST ROXBURY, Friday Oct 14 at 9 am, followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Theresa’s Church at 10 o’clock. Visiting hours Thursday 4-8 pm. Relatives and friends invited. Interment St. Joseph’s Cemetery. McCarthy graduated with honors from Boston Latin School class of 1978 where he was Vice President of the Senior class. He graduated with honors from Tufts University class of 1982 and Suffolk Law class of 1985. After graduating from Law School, he persued a career in private practice. He conducted his practice in Boston and West Roxbury for many years. At the time of his passing, he was employed by Singapore Resources, Inc., Westborough, MA. Larry was known throughout West Roxbury for his kindness and charity to others. Anyone who is lovingly remembered never really dies.
