John “Jack” Iannuzzi, of Tewksbury, formerly of Medford, passed away peacefully, at his home, surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, September 28th. He was 74.
Born in Medford, he was the son of the late Ralph F. and Rose G. (Amendola) Iannuzzi. A Medford Vocational Technical High School graduate with the class of 1960. After high school, Jack enlisted in the United States Air Force and proudly served his country in the Vietnam War. Following his honorable discharge in September of 1964, he married his wife Elaine (Mottola) and together the two started a family with love and devotion.
Jack was a family man. He loved taking care of his home, his kids and his wife of over 45 years. He was so proud of his boat, his corvette and he loved driving fast. He enjoyed big family events, breakfast with his buddies, spending time with his brother, scratching scratch tickets and playing sudoku. His favorite vacation was to Mexico every year. He was a jack of all trades, he fixed everything for everyone. He maintained lifelong friendships from childhood as well as coworkers from Local 25, but his passion was always living life to the fullest!
Jack was the beloved husband of Elaine (Mottola) Iannuzzi. They were married in 1972 at the Immaculate Conception Church in Revere. He was the devoted father of Nicholas Iannuzzi and his wife Victoria of Texas and Jacqueline Iannuzzi of Lynnfield. Jack was the dear brother of Ralph Iannuzzi and his wife Mary of Stoneham, and the dear brother-in-law of Audrey Mottola of Revere, Edward Mottola and his wife Caylene of New Hampshire, Peter Torchia of Florida, and the late Richard Mottola and his surviving wife JoAnn of Revere. He was a cherished son-in-law of Clara (Mastromarino) Mottola of Revere and was the loving uncle of Chris and Thomas Iannuzzi, Sabrina Torchia Hill, Maria Torchia Mastey, Richard, Carla, Christopher and Cassidy Mottola. He is also survived by many loving cousins and friends.
His funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main Street, Medford, on Tuesday, October 3rd at 9AM followed by a Funeral Mass celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High Street, Medford, at 10AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Monday from 4 through 8PM. Services will conclude with burial and military honors at Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
