John “Jack” P. McCluskey, 84, of Dunedin Florida, formerly of Smithfield, died Monday, September 11, 2017 at Florida Hospital in Tampa, Florida. He was the husband of Jean (Leveillee) McCluskey and the late Patricia (McCann) McCluskey.
Born in Providence, RI, he was a son of the late Patrick and Mary (Sheridan) McCluskey. He had lived in Smithfield for many years and Providence before moving to Florida 18 years ago.
He was a lithographer and worked at Jay Printing for many years before retiring.
Besides his wife he is survived by his children: John McCluskey of North Providence, Colleen McCann and her husband, James of North Scituate, Patrick McCluskey and his wife, Jess of Lincoln, and Kelly Tyrell and her husband, Ken of Dunedin, FL, ten grandchildren: Kevin, Sean, Kyle, Erin, TJ, Kayleigh, Megan, Riley, Neason and Carter.
And 3 great grandchildren: Kyle, Kailin and Evan. He is predeceased by his son, Michael J. McCluskey.
A graveside service with military honors to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Saturday, October 21, 2017 at 11am in Gate of heaven Cemetery, East Providence, RI. Visitation respectfully omitted.
