Henry G. “Hank” Cochran, 71, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Friday, September 29, 2017, at his residence.
Private memorial services will be held at a later date.
Mr. Cochran was born December 15, 1945, in Saranac Lake, New York to the late Herb & Mary Cochran. He was a canoe outpost guide in the Everglades where he met his wife, Judith. Mr. Cochran also worked as a surveyor with Royal Surveyors in Ocilla.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Judith Cochran of Fitzgerald; a son, Michael John Cochran and his wife Andrea of Fitzgerald; two grandchildren: Michael Thomas Cochran and Gabriel Timothy Cochran; two brothers, Michael Cochran of Saranac Lake, New York and Bob & Terry Cochran of Buffalo, New York; a sister, Janet Swentusky of Saranac Lake, New York; two brothers-in-law, Jimmy & Robin Buhl of Ocala, Florida and John Bray of Saranac Lake, New York; and a sister-in-law, Beverly Smith of Fitzgerald. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Molly Cochran Bray.
