Helen (Moniga) DiResto, age 95 of Norton and formerly of Rehoboth, passed away on September 27, 2017.
She was the beloved wife of the late Raymond E. DiResto, Sr.
Helen was born in Milford, NH, a daughter of the late Bortolo and Annie (Miloni) Moniga.
Before retirement, Mrs. DiResto and her late husband had a successful lapidary business in their home for many years. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary, and she enjoyed many happy summers on Prudence Island spending time with family and friends.
Helen is survived by her sister Genevieve Mondor, niece Donna Procopio, her husband Chuck and their children Nicholas and Jonathan as well as nephew Michael Mondor, his wife Cathy, and their children Lindsay and Evan. She also leaves several nieces, nephews, neighbors and friends who were so very good to her throughout her life.
Helen was also the loving mother of the late Raymond DiResto, Jr. and sister of the late Robert, Ernest, Edmund, Leo, Albie, Daniel, Emilio , Joseph, and the late Lenora Lynch.
A funeral mass will be held at a later date in Saint Mary’s Church, Power St, Norton MA. A private burial for immediate family will take place in the spring.
The family of Helen DiResto would like to thank Compassionate Care Hospice of Taunton and Happier In My Home in Somerset who provided exceptional in-home care for Helen throughout her illness. They would also like to thank her wonderful neighbors and family friends who offered assistance to the family whenever needed. Your help was invaluable.
