PELHAM, NH - Mrs. Mary Rose “Mae” (Wilson) Dichard, age 91, died peacefully on Tuesday evening, September 26, at the Palm Center in North Chelmsford. She was the beloved wife of the late James E. Dichard, who died in 1970.
Mary was born in Boston, in May 1926, one of six children of the late Thomas and Catherine (Donovan) Wilson, and raised in Boston. After her marriage to Jim, they moved to Tewksbury to raise their family. She moved to Pelham forty-four years ago, where she lived independently until July. While in Tewksbury she was a communicant of St. William’s Church, and since moving to Pelham, St. Patrick’s Parish.
She worked in electronic assembly during her working days, at Wang’s original Main Street facility, and later retired from Raytheon in West Andover.
She leaves her daughter, Joan E. (Dichard-Beach) Gilleland and her husband Roy “Buddy” of Camp Wood, TX; three grandchildren, James Beach and his wife Patricia of TX, George Beach and his wife Marie of CO, and Paula Kern and her husband Bryan of CO; nine great grandchildren, Kassie, Kaitlynn, Karlee, Brandon, Brooke, Stephan, Jacob, Justin, and Breeana; three great great grandchildren, Jordsn, Paisley, and Hannah; her sister, Gertrude Martino of Ipswich, formerly of Chelmsford; many nieces and nephews; and was predeceased by her siblings, Dorothy Duffy, Neil Wilson, Frank Wilson, and Paul Wilson.
Graveside Prayers will be offered at the Tewksbury Cemetery on Saturday, September 30, at 1:00 p.m. At her request there are no visiting hours. Memorial contributions to American Heart Assn., 300 5th Ave., Waltham, MA 02451, or visit heart.org, will be appreciated. tewksburyfuneralhome.com
