Rose L. Faria, 94, of Dartmouth died September 13, 2017 at home after a period of declining health.
She was the wife of the late Walter P. Faria.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Joao A. and Margarida (Conceicao) Lopes, she lived in Dartmouth most of her life.
Mrs. Faria was formerly employed as a cook with the Dartmouth School System for many years until her retirement. She was also a distributor for Nutrilite.
She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and cooking. She was an avid reader of nutritional articles and made sure her family was well nourished.
Survivors include her son, Atty. Walter Faria of Dartmouth; a daughter, Sandra Allen of Dartmouth; 4 grandchildren, Sarah Allen, Cara O'Brien, Morgan Faria and Courtney Pragana; 5 great-grandchildren, Sean O'Brien, Elizabeth O'Brien, Javar Williams, A.J. Pragana and Hadley Pragana; and several nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Alice Vasconcellos, Emily Dansereau, Mary Macedo, Jack Lopes and Phillip Lopes.
