Elaine R. Passano, 72, of Deerfield Drive, Greenville died Wednesday at her home. She was the beloved wife of Chief Walter Passano, SFD, ret. They had been married for over 45 years.
Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Emily (Benn) Gross. She had lived in Smithfield for since 1976 and had previously lived in Glocester.
She had worked as a secretary and a school bus driver in Glocester before retiring. She enjoyed crafting.
Besides her husband, she is survived by her brother, Russell K. Gross of Harmony as well as nieces and nephews.
Her funeral service will be held Friday at 11:30am in the Anderson-Winfield Funeral Home, Rt 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. Visitation Friday 10:30-11:30am. Burial will be in Acote’s Hill Cemetery, Chepachet. In lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to St. Thomas Episcopal Church, 1 Smith Avenue, Greenville, RI 02828
