Obituary

Lauri-Anne Lozzi, 53, of West Boylston, passed away on Wednesday, September 20, 2017. Born in Norwood, on January 8, 1964, she was the daughter of Sandra Kay (Buitta) Lozzi of Franklin and the late Robert Vincent Lozzi, Sr.

Laurie was raised in Franklin and attended Franklin public schools. Though she was a prolific traveler and lived in many different cities and states throughout her life, she loved her home town of Franklin the most. She returned to Franklin several years ago and most recently settled in West Boylston.

Laurie had a long and varied history during her working career. She truly was a cliché of the best possible kind. She was a "people person" first and foremost, who had a unique grasp of the human condition and an unsurpassed empathy, which allowed her to connect with the public in a very personal way. She was a lifelong learner, avid reader and writer. She was a lover of the arts. She enjoyed all sports and was herself very athletic during her youth in Franklin. She loved youth sports especially and one of her favorite community service jobs was working with kids at the Franklin Recreation Department.

Laurie loved her family and friends fiercely. She had much and many of both. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her daughter Sandra May Salazar of Brookline, her brother Robert Vincent (Chug) Lozzi, Jr and her sister Lonnie Lozzi, all of Franklin. She is also survived by her grandson Michael Vincent Papp, nephews, Luke Robert Lozzi and Kelan Brian Riggs of Franklin, her "Gram" Idamae Buitta of Medway,, her aunts, Rose Buitta-Boucher of Bellingham, Sherrill Hope of Bourne and Mariann (Lozzi) Ceruti of Sunrise, FL, many cousins and extended family, and her partner, Graig (Bo) Grundbeers of West Boylston.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, September 29 from 4 - 7:30 p.m. in the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin, 131 Main Street in Franklin - www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com followed by a funeral service at 7:30 p.m. which all are welcome to attend. Private burial services will be held at a later date.
