SALEM- Mary C. (Spilski) Zerola, 90, wife of the late Charles Zerola, of Salem, passed away peacefully Saturday evening, October 8, 2005, surrounded by her loving family, following a lengthy illness.
Born in Salem, Mrs. Zerola was the daughter of the late Stanislaus and Carolina (Furtek) Spilski.
A lifelong resident of Salem, Mrs. Zerola retired after many years of employment with GTE Sylvania, in Salem, first working at the Boston Street plant then at Loring Avenue. She was a member of the GTE Sylvania Quarter Century Club. She was an avid movie fan and shopper extrodinaire, but her main focus was her home and extensive family.
She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Donald and Patricia Kingston of Byfield, one daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Ronald Giunta of Beverly, six grandchildren, Robert and his wife Mary Giunta, Richard Giunta and his former wife Laine Gordon, Donna and her husband Christopher Clements, Ronald and his wife Susan Giunta, Thomas Kingston, Linda and her husband Jonathan Rausch, four great grandchildren, Ryan, Rachel, Charles and Daniel Giunta, two sisters, Sophia Curran of Salem, Helen Dylingowski of Danvers, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one brother, Walter Spilski.
Her funeral service will be held Thursday morning, October 13, 2005 at 9 am from the Full-Spychalski Funeral Home, 84 Washington Square East, by Salem Common, Salem, followed by a funeral Mass at 10 am at the St. John The Baptist Church, Salem. Visiting hours are Wednesday, 5 to 8 pm. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Burial is in St. Mary Cemetery, Salem.
