McGohon, Mildred Fay (Wheeler), 80, was called home September 26, 2017 at Hosparus Hospice of Louisville.
She was born August 1, 1937 in Lebanon, KY to the late Bertie Caudill Wheeler Bradshaw and John A. Wheeler. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Eugene H. Wheeler, John K. Wheeler, and David Wheeler.
She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, William (Bill) M. McGohon, Sr., and her children: William (Ike) McGohon Jr.(Sue), Vickie Raggard (Jeff), and Scott McGohon (Cindy); her grandchildren: Corey McGohon (Erin), Ashley McGohon, Christopher Raggard (Katie), Jessica McDermott (Ronnie), Shelby McGohon, Tyler Raggard (Madeline), Justin McGohon, and her great-grandchildren: Reese E. McGohon, Brynne A. McGohon, Liam W. Raggard, Rylee W. McDermott, and Charles G. Raggard.
Mildred was a member of the Winsome Sunday School class at Beechland Baptist Church. She became a Kentucky Colonel on November 12, 1973.
The family wishes to thank the wonderful nursing staff at the Audubon hospital ICU Unit B, as well as the compassionate staff at Hosparus Hospice of Louisville.
Services to celebrate Mildred’s life will be Friday at 12:00 PM at Owen Funeral Home 5317 Dixie Hwy. Burial is in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central in Radcliff, KY. Visitation is Thursday 2:00-8:00 PM.
