It is with great sadness that the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation announces the passing of Tribal Member, Michael Anthony Bembery.
Michael Anthony Bembery 51, of Mashantucket, passed away Friday, September 22, 2017. He was born in Dorchester, Massachusetts on May 12, 1966. He is survived by his mother Priscilla Colebut-Brown and stepfather Robert Brown, Jr. and father Robert Bembery. Daughters Yolanda Adamick of Mashantucket, CT and Kimberly Johnson of Willingboro, N.J. Grandchildren Tru Destiny Adamick, Anthony Michael Adamick Jr., Carson Nathaniel Adamick, Don Ricardo Sebastian,III, Kamren Shasiah Cook and Kynsley Nevaeh Cook. He also leaves behind brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, and many cousins who all loved him dearly.
As a young man Michael attended Fryeburg Academy in Maine and graduated from the Career Development Program in Mashantucket, CT. He also studied at Mitchell College in New London, CT. Michael worked at Foxwoods Resort & Casino in Mashantucket, CT. He was an enrolled member of the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation.
A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, September 29th at 11:00am at the MPTN Spiritual Center, 938 Shewville Rd., Ledyard. Interment will follow at the Mashantucket Pequot Burial Ground on Fanning Rd, Ledyard. Repass immediately following the burial located at MPTN Community Center, 2 Matts Path, Mashantucket.
