…Navy Veteran, R.C.A. Analyst; 89
TEWKSBURY - Mr. Paul Joseph Laderoute, age 89, a father of seven and well known devout member of the St. William’s Parish community, died peacefully on Monday afternoon, September 25, at his home in the loving care of his family and hospice after a long period of declining health. For fifty-six years, he was the husband of M. Dolores (Martel) who died in 2003.
He was born in Dracut in November 1927, was son of the late Joseph and Marie (Arsenault) Laderoute, raised in Lowell, and graduated from Lowell High School. He retired to Florida where he lived for twenty years, and returned to Tewksbury in 2008. During WWII, he served in the U.S. Navy, honorably discharged as a Seaman 1st Class.
He worked as a financial analyst for R.C.A. for over twenty years.
In Paul’s earlier years, he toured with the A.B.I. Amateur Bowling Tour, was a member of the Family Campers Association, and in his retirement continued to bowl, and became proficient in Florida Shuffleboard.
He leaves six children, Linda Hattori and her husband Stephen of Tewksbury, Michael Laderoute and his wife Barbara of Virginia, Susan Olsen and her husband Carl of Tewksbury, Mark Laderoute and his wife Maria of Gardner, MA, David Laderoute of Tewksbury, Andrew Laderoute and his wife Kathy of Lowell; ten grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; brothers, Edgar Laderoute of Attleboro, and Richard Laderoute of VA; sister, Arlene Rayball of Lowell; sister-in-law, Marilyn Laderoute of Lowell; his “Pew Pals” at St. William’s Church; many nieces and nephews; and was predeceased by his son, Paul J. Laderoute Jr.; sister, Edna Laderoute; and brother, Robert Laderoute.
Visiting hours Friday morning, Sept. 29, from 9:00 until 11:00 a.m. in the Tewksbury Funeral Home, corner of 1 Dewey and 975 Main Sts. (Rte. 38) TEWKSBURY CENTER, Ph. (800 in MA or 978) 851 2950. His Funeral Mass will follow on Friday at 11:30 in St. William’s Church, 1351 Main St. (Rte. 38) Tewksbury. Interment at St. Joseph’s Cemetery will be private.
