Doris Jean (Aldridge) Dale, 84, died September 24, 2017 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis after a brief illness.
She was born in Harrisburg, IL on April 7, 1933, the daughter of Ezra Leighton and Gladys (Pickering) Aldridge.
Doris was involved in the Church of God ministry for 60 years. She attended Park Place Church of God, where she served in many capacities.
Her hobbies included quilting and cooking for those she loved. Literally, she has fed thousands in her life!
She is survived by her four children, Pamela (Barry) Albright; Lisa (Doug) Steele; William (Ellen) Dale; Bruce (Deborah Dale; 11 grandchildren, Benjamin Smith, Andrew Smith, Bruce Albright, Tatum Dale, Leighton Dale, Briar Dale, Nolin Dale, Connor Dale, Clara Dale, Grace Steele and Brandi Dale; three great grandchildren, Adeline Smith, Sawyer Smith and Beckham Albright; two sisters, Shirley Jordan and Deborah Nelson.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Rev. B. G. Dale.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, September 28, 2017 at Park Place Church of God with Dr. David Markle officiating
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service.
Memorial contributions may be given to Park Place Church of God.
