Julia "Marie" Paulk Outten, 78, of Tifton passed away Monday, September 25, 2017, at the Rehabilitation Center of South Georgia in Tifton. Her funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Friday, September 29, 2017, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with Elder Robert Tucker officiating. Ms. Outten will be laid to rest at Mount Paron Primitive Baptist Church in Alapaha. The family will receive friends Thursday, September 28, 2017, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
George Gibbs, Dan Ware, Chris Murray, Jacob Gibbs and Bill Blackmon will serve as pallbearers.
Born May 5, 1939 in Alapaha (Berrien County), Ms. Outten was the daughter of the late Henry Grady Paulk and Bessie Mae Griffin Paulk. She was also preceded in death by one brother, Coy Paulk; and one sister, Ruphert Jernigan. Before retiring, she was a private sitter. She was of the Baptist faith.
Ms. Outten is survived by one son, James Dexter Moore of Alapaha; two daughters and sons-in-law, Elaine and Dan Ware of Warner Robins and Dawn and George Gibbs of Tifton; two sisters, Annie Jim Daniels of Fitzgerald and Mae Ruth Purvis of Ocilla; and seven grandchildren, Kortney Moore, Lindsey Moore, Amber Soles, Amanda Soles, Madison Gibbs, Kylie Gibbs and Isabella Gibbs.
