George E. Gillick, 89, of Dartmouth passed away Thursday September 21, 2017. He was the husband of the late Eleanor Mae (Wilde) Gillick.
Born in New Bedford, the son of the late George E. and Michalena (Rog) Gillick, he lived in New Bedford before moving to Dartmouth in 1966.
Mr. Gillick was formerly employed as an engineer for the Raytheon Corporation for 20 years from 1964-1984 and later worked as a district supervisor for Boston Globe for 12 years.
During World War II, he served in the U.S. Army.
He was a member of the Fort Phoenix Post Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion Post 166 in Fairhaven.
Survivors include his good friend, Jacob Belanger; and three nieces.
He was the brother of the late Richard A. Gillick and Roger A. Gillick.
His Funeral Service will be held on Thursday September 28, 2017 at 11 AM at the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford.
