Laconia-Grace (Gracia) M. Tetrault, 89, of 406 Court Street died on Sunday morning, October 9, 2005 at Lakes Region General Hospital. She had been a resident at St. Francis Healthcare Center for the past two years, before moving from her residence on White Oaks Road in Laconia.
Grace was the daughter of the late Henri E. and Maria (Pelletier) Henault. She was born in Manchester, NH on September 30, 1916, where she was raised and schooled. She had been a resident of the Laconia area for most of her life.
Prior to her retirement she employed at the former Laconia Manufacturing Company. Grace was also a cook at Sacred Heart Rectory for 5 years.
Grace was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church, and a member of the Ladies of Sacred Heart. She was a member of the Blue Army, and the Legionaires of Christ where for many years she made prayer beads, and scapulars.
Grace enjoyed playing the piano and organ. Among her hobbies she enjoyed gardening, and crafts, and was a very artistic person.
Grace was predeceased by her husband of 42 years, Roland Tetrault in 1982. She was also predeceased by one brother, Edgar Henault, four sisters, Lauria Bourgault, Cecile Whitmore Delisle, Jeannette Delisle, and Betty Cote.
Grace is survived by two sisters, Rita Dagenais of Laconia, and Lucienne Dumont of Manchester, NH. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Thursday, October 13, 2005 at Sacred Heart Church, 291 Union Avenue, Laconia at 10:00 am. Rev. Adrien R. Longchamps pastor of the church will celebrated the mass. Burial followed in the family lot at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Garfield Street, Laconia. Visiting hours were Wednesday, October 12, 2005 from 6:00-8:00 pm at the Simoneau-Paquette Memorial Home, 139 Church Street, Laconia, using the Union Avenue Chapel. Family and friends were invited to attend.
