Eddie W. Harper, 66, of Osierfield, Georgia, died Friday, September 22, 2017, at Tift Regional Medical Center in Tifton.
Funeral services will be held at 3 PM, Sunday, September 24, 2017, at Bethel Baptist Church in Ocilla with the Rev. Tracy Clements officiating. Interment will follow in the Osierfield Cemetery in Irwin County.
Mr. Harper was born June 14, 1951, in Jacksonville, Florida, to the late Ernest & Susie Champion Harper. He was a graduate of Irwin County High School. Mr. Harper worked as a pumping unit assembler for Rainbow Irrigation. He enjoyed watching NASCAR, especially anyone driving a Ford. He also enjoyed watching football and was a Georgia Bulldog fan. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 29 years: Brenda Harper of Osierfield; daughters: Sherry & Lamar Stephens of Fitzgerald, Wendy Paul and her fiancé Tom Calhoun of Fitzgerald, Kelly Missildine and her fiancé Keith Knight of Waverly Hall, and Lynda Flowers of Cusseta; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and two sisters: Willa Sue Norton of Fitzgerald and Vivian Barrentine Masterson of Clearwater, Florida. Many nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two great-granddaughters, Kenleigh & Kenzie Hardin; a brother: Robert “Buck” Harper and three sisters: Elizabeth Ann Clark, Miriam Claudette Hines, and Carolyn Ernestine Harper.
