LANHAM, James W., 86, of Louisville, passed away Friday, September 22, 2017.
Hired by Kroger, he became their youngest head meat cutter at the age of 16. He went on to own two Convenient Food Marts, the first one with his partner, George Graas, and a Pic Pac Food Store. He was also an Air Force Veteran.
Mr. Lanham was preceded in death by his wife, Norma Jean (Lynch) Lanham; parents, Mary and John William Lanham; brothers, Alvin Lanham and Shelby Ronald Lanham; and sister, Stacy A. Lanham.
He is survived by his son, James A. “Tony” Lanham; sister, Donna G. Cary (Doug); niece, Beth and nephew, Chris.
His family would like to thank Jefferson Place, as well as Hosparus, for their kindness and understanding.
There will be a private burial at Calvary Cemetery. Owen Funeral Home – Jeffersontown has been entrusted with arrangements.
