Born in New Bedford, the son of the late John E. Watson, Jr. and Ruth (Bragg) Watson, he lived in Dartmouth and New Bedford for most of his life.
Dan was a 1969 graduate of Laurelcrest Preparatory School in Bristol, Connecticut and then attended the University of Maine at Orono earning business and education degrees. Watson of Dartmouth; five grandchildren, Owen, Brennan, and Kyla Carter; Christopher and Rebecca Watson; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
