FALL RIVER… Frank J. Nowacki, 94, of Fall River passed away Friday, Sept. 22, 2017 at his home, surrounded by his loving family.
He was the husband of Jane (Bernat) Nowacki to whom he had been married for 67 years.
Born in Fall River, he was a son of the late Walenty and Apolonija (Warchol) Nowacki and had been a lifelong resident of this city.
Mr. Nowacki served his country during World War II with the United States Navy. Following military service, he went on to serve the City of Fall River as a Fire Fighter, working his way up to the position of Lieutenant before retiring in 1981. He was a member of the Polish National Alliance of the United States of North America, the Polish American War Veterans and the Kosciuszko Men’s Club. He enjoyed spending time with his family.
Along with his beloved wife, survivors include his daughter, Sharon Oliveira and her husband Dennis of Assonet, two grandchildren, Rachel Hare and Nathan Oliveira, his sister, Loretta Szulewsi of Florida, several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one sister and four brothers.
