It saddens our family that Brent David Slone passed away on September 12, 2017. Brent was born on March 2, 1977. He is survived by his wife CaSonya Richardson-Slone, daughter Celecia Slone, father Bill Slone, sister Holly Logsdon, brother Brian Slone, brother in law Donnie Logsdon and nephew Davin Logsdon. Brent is preceded in death by his mother Carol Slone and his grandmother Ida Slone. Brent proudly served in the United States Marine Corp and enjoyed listening to music, playing guitar, singing, writing, and drawing. For many years Brent enjoyed being out in nature and wildlife, swimming, fishing, camping and spending time with family and friends. In 2011 Brent sadly suffered a horrific car accident that left him paralyzed from the waist down. He suffered with health complications and severe physical pain that greatly diminished his quality of life and left him in bed in pain most days ,but he held on as long as he emotionally and physically could for the love of his daughter and best friend Celecia Slone. She was her daddy's biggest helper and cheerleader. He said many times that if it wasn't for her he would not of survived as long as he had. So as sad as we are to have lost such a beautiful and loving husband, father, son, brother and friend we also cry tears of joy that he is no longer suffering in pain and is with our Heavenly Father healthy, walking, and full of peace and joy. This is how we will remember you Brent and you will be forever loved and missed until we see you again at our Father's alter.
Visitation will be 1pm-2:30pm Sunday at Owen Funeral Home - Jeffersontown, 9318 Taylorsville Road, with a memorial service to follow at 2:30pm.
