Arthur F. “Artie” Halloran, age 50 of Haverhill passed away unexpectedly at his late residence on September 13, 2017. Artie was born in Methuen on April 15, 1967. He was a graduate of Lawrence High School, Class of 1985. Artie attended both Northeastern University and Salem State University. He worked for 30 years as a custodian in the Lawrence Public Schools. Artie was a beloved baseball coach for Lawrence High School. He will be remembered as someone who was very sociable and will be missed by his many friends. He was a proud grandfather and best friend to his children. Artie was an avid golfer and was a member of the British Club in Lawrence.
Artie was the beloved husband of Mary (O’Connell) Halloran. He was the devoted father of Casey Halloran of Methuen and Taylor Buonagurio and her husband James of Methuen. Artie was the loving grandfather of Alexa and Jacob. He is also survived by his mother Brenda (Coco) Manzi, his cousin and best friend Joseph Halloran, many cousins, aunts, uncles and his beloved dog Penelope. He was preceded in death by his father Francis Halloran.
Friends and guests are invited to call on Tuesday, September 19, 2017 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence St. Methuen. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Good Counsel, St. Theresa’s Parish, 22 Plymouth St. Methuen. Interment will be private.
