Forrest E. "Wally" Wallace, 75, of Anderson died suddenly on September 12, 2017 at his residence.
He was born May 10, 1942 the son of John A. and Bessie L. (Van Erman) Wallace.
Wally worked production at Delco Remy 31 years before retiring in 1994 and was a member of United Auto Workers Local 662 Retirees.
He attended Madison Park Church of God where he was head usher. He was a former facilities and operations manager and a deacon. Wally loved fishing and puzzles, more than anything, he loved his church work.
He served in the United States Navy.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Betty June (Hood-Prewett) Wallace of Anderson whom he married at Vero Beach, Fl on July 5, 1977; father, John A. Wallace of Tipton; children, Robert (Lisa) Scott Wallace, Dana (Pam) Kent Wallace; Paul (Trina) Dean Prewett; daughter-in-law, Teresa Prewett; two brothers, Kenny (Ann) Wallace, Denny (Brenda) Wallace; eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews including special niece, Becky Davis.
He was preceded in death by his mother and his step-son, Phillip Michael Prewett.
Service will be 2 p.m. on Sunday, September 17, 2017 at Madison Park Church of God with Pastor Shelly Stottlemyer and Pastor Mickey Foley officiating.
Visitation will be Saturday from noon until 3 p.m. at the church.
Private entombment in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given to Madison Park Church of God.
The family requests people dress casually.
