Elaine F. (Kirker) Jennings, age 87 of Brockton, died unexpectedly September 8, 2017 at Morton Hospital. Elaine was the loving wife for 65 years of the late Burton E. Jennings. Born, raised and educated in Brockton, she was the daughter of the late Edmund and Josephine (Sipsey) Kirker. She was employed by Kay Jewelers, the Lutheran Nursing Home and retired from the Christmas Tree Shop in Avon. Elaine was devoted to her family and her faith and was a long time communicant of St. Edith Stein Parish and Chapel of Our Savior. She enjoyed camping at Normandy Farms in Foxboro, spending time on Cape Cod and crafts. She was a devoted and avid Boston sports fan.
Elaine was the mother of Bruce Jennings and his wife Christine of Murfreesboro, TN, Jo-Anne Bousquet of Fairhaven, MA and the late Stephen Jennings; grandmother of Danielle Bousquet and Brandon Bousquet and his wife Jassmyne; great grandmother of Skylar Bousquet; sister of Jean LeBlanc of Florida, Josephine McNamara of Brockton, Christine Strong of Florida, John Kirker of Las Vegas, NV, the late Jane Chassey, and Kenneth, Edmund and Daniel Kirker. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews; daughter in law Barbara Callahan of Cambridge and former son in law Allan Bousquet who she considered a son.
Visiting Hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton, Thursday 4-7pm. The funeral procession will gather at the funeral home Friday at 8:45am for a funeral Mass in St. Edith Stein Parish at 9:45am. Burial will follow in Melrose Cemetery.
