Martinez, GA – Earnest Wayne Duncan, Sr., 74, entered into rest on Sunday, September 10, 2017.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, September 15, 2017 at Platt’s Funeral Home Belair Rd. Chapel with Pastor Rich Bowen officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Earnest retired from Local 150 Plumbers and Steamfitters Union. He had an adventurous nature and enjoyed being outdoors. He was also an avid hunter and gun collector. Earnest was a man of many words and easily left an impression on others by sharing his many stories. He loved watching Westerns, but most importantly he loved his family and spending time with them.
Survivors include his wife; Beverly Anderson Duncan, son; Earnest Wayne Duncan, Jr. (Michelle) of Thomson, GA, daughters; Danna Key (Tye) of N. Augusta, SC, Delia Clark (Richard) of Aiken, SC, Amanda Sheram (Steven) of Evans, GA, 11 grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. Earnest was preceded in death by his first wife; Brenda West Duncan.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Thursday, September 14, 2017 at the funeral home.
