Lawrence William “Larry” Rosa, 77, passed away on September 8, 2017 at his home. He was the husband of the late Donna (Voccola) Rosa.
Born in Providence, he was the son of Albert and Helen (Rymaszeski) Rosa. He worked as a civil engineer for the State of Rhode Island until his retirement. Larry spent ten years of his retirement in Melbourne, Florida where he enjoyed the sunshine with his wife, Donna. He was a member of the Freemasons of Melbourne Beach Lodge 354. He returned to Rhode Island two years ago so that he could be close to his children and grandchildren. Larry was a generous man who had many friends throughout the years and always reach out to friends in need. He was an avid reader who also enjoyed gardening and riding his motorcycle.
He is survived by his children, Lawrence A. Rosa of Johnston, Rebecca DelGallo and her husband, David, of Smithfield and Jeffrey Rosa and his wife, Debra of Coventry, as well as his five beloved grandchildren, Kyla DelGallo, Gabriella Rosa, Joseph DelGallo, Annabella Rosa and Jeffrey John Rosa.
Visitation will be Friday from 4-7pm with a prayer service at 6:45pm in the Anderson-Winfield Home, Greenville. Funeral and Burial will be private.
