Derik Edward Reed, 42, of Westfield, IN passed away as a result of an automobile accident.
Derik was proudest of his 8 years of active duty service in the United States Coast Guard. His civilian career was spent in retail management.
He is survived by; his mother, Cindy (Ratz) Reed of Indianapolis, his father, David W. Reed of Anderson his four children, Weston M. Reed and Makayla N. Reed of Anderson; Camden E. Reed and Braden L. Reed both of Westfield; sister, Danielle Reed Sparks of Washington, IL; and brother, Nolan (LeeAnn) Stanley of North Vernon; former spouses Kenra D. Reed and Melissa L. Reed; a niece and two nephews.
He was preceded in death by his beloved maternal grandparents, Richard and Dortha Ratz.
Celebration of Life Service will be 5 p.m. at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service on Friday, September 15, 2017 with Pastor Ned Clark officiating.
Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be given to his children.
The family requests attendees wear clothing that reminds them of Derik.
