Worcester- Linda Marie (Parrish) Healey, 66, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 11, 2017 at home. She is survived by her beloved wife Linda Walker McLinden; her mother Mary Lou Parrish; a son Greg Healey and his wife Lindsey Murphy; a sister Theresa Mayo and her husband Bobby Mayo; a brother Michael Parrish and his wife Isaura Parrish; and two grandchildren, Raegan Rose and Kennedy Skye.
Linda was born in San Diego, California, daughter of Donald Parrish, Jr. and Mary Lou Parrish. She graduated with an associates degree in nursing and then went on to be a lifelong nurse filled with compassion for those she cared for. Linda’s love for music manifested itself in her singing. She played both guitar and piano as well as composing and recording some of her own music. She loved the outdoors and spent much time with her wife strolling through local gardens and woods.
Due to family illness, the Remembrance Service honoring her and the following Celebration of Life Collation have been rescheduled to Saturday, November 18, at 1 PM. The Service and Collation will be held at First Parish Church UU of Northboro, 40 Church Street, Northboro, MA. 01532. All are welcome.
In addition, her son Greg Healey is honoring her with a Funeral Mass on October 21 at 11AM at St. John’s Catholic Church, 44 Temple Street, Worcester, MA, 01604, and will be followed by a gathering at the church hall.
