Elizabeth A. Morancy
Of Methuen
METHUEN: Elizabeth A. (Price) Morancy, age 72, passed away at home on Tuesday, September 5, 2017.
Born in Lowell on October 18, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Richard J. Price and the late Ada E. (Butterfield) Price.
Elizabeth was raised in Emporium and Indiana, Pennsylvania, and attended local schools.
Following high school, she entered the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, where she received her B. A. Degree. She later attended Springfield College where she received her M.A. Degree.
Prior to her retirement, she was employed in the technology field as an analyst.
Elizabeth was an active member of the First Church Congregational in Methuen, where she was a member of the choir.
She enjoyed playing the piano, reading and volunteer work at the Nevins Public Library in Methuen.
Elizabeth is survived by her son, Jonathan P. Morancy and his wife Kerry S. Ford Morancy of Baltimore, MD; two grandchildren, Elijah C. and Ariana H. Morancy; also many extended family members and friends.
She was the sister of the late Sandra E. McIntosh, formerly of Cincinnati, OH.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Memorial Service at 11 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 15, at the First Church Congregational, 26 Pleasant Street, Methuen. Kindly Omit Flowers.
