Lennon “Raymond” "Tutt" Jones, Jr., 56, of Ty Ty, formerly of Omega, passed away Saturday, September 9, 2017, at his residence. A graveside funeral service will be held for Mr. Jones at 4:00 p.m. Friday, September 15, 2017, at Lawrence Cemetery, where he will be laid to rest. The Rev. Joseph L. Crumley will moderate. The family will receive friends Thursday, September 14, 2017, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Mike Bennett, Randy Paulk, Ted Bozeman, Keith Kendrick, Johnny Tawzer and Steve Flippo will serve as pallbearers.
Born December 20, 1960 in Tift County, Mr. Jones was the son of the late Lennon Jones and Janie Gibbs Martin. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Darrell Morrison and Larry “Shorty” Morrison; and his father-in-law, Clifford Taylor. He was a retired truck driver and loved NASCAR and dirt-track racing.
Mr. Jones is survived by his wife of 36 years, Cindy Taylor Jones of Ty Ty, formerly of Omega; two sons, Shae Jones and Colby Jones, both of Tifton; one daughter and son-in-law, Amber Jones Spivey and Barry Spivey of Brookfield; and one grandson, Jimi Lee Spivey. He is also survived by one half-sister and brother-in-law, Alicia and Robbie Newton of Tifton; and his mother-in-law, Sue Taylor of Tifton.
